St. Thomas Midtown: 1 support person (no band sharing) + Doula (has to be on the list) & no kids under 18 can visit the hospital & screening of all visitors and staff, NBICU is only allowing 1 parent in and it must be the same parent each time

*No woman should have to go to birth with only 1 support person. Please talk to your care provider to get the policy changed to allow your doula to come with you to birth. Doulas are not visitors."They are recognized by AWHONN and ACOG as essential personnel and part of the maternity care team."  As of March 10th the CDC said that an exception should be made "when a visitor is essential for the patient’s emotional well-being and care” You have rights, but also be wise.
