I decided to become a Doula because every mother needs someone with her in that special moment. I am a mother of 3 and had different experiences with every birth. All of my babies were delivered vaginally but for one I was induced. My wishes were ignored and I was pushed into getting an epidural with my first baby, which was something I did not want. From that experience I realized that I don't want a mother to feel what I felt when I was not heard. I'm hoping I can help the mother experience an amazing birth by helping her feel comfortable and safe. I also want mothers to know they always have a choice and I can help advocate for her when she feels her voice is not being heard.
