Hi, I’m Kristin, and I truly count it all joy to partner and come along side you and your significant other during this……. “Your unique and amazing Birth journey”!
During my career, I have had the pleasure of working with hundreds of expectant and postpartum Mothers both in and out of the Hospital setting. In 1992, I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Florida, where I was a Full Scholarship Volleyball athlete. Following my dream, I started my career working in Labor and Delivery at North Florida Regional Medical Center, the same Hospital where a few years later my son would be born. Soon after, my husband (who was in the Ministry) and I moved to Boca Raton Florida to help with a church plant, and where my second & third children were born. I became a stay-at-home Mother for a season, and also found myself “Head of Nursery and Children’s ministries”. Since then, we moved to our forever home in Franklin TN to raise our children who are now all young adults. Since moving here, I have worked at Vanderbilt Medical Center in their High Risk Postpartum, Antepartum and Newborn Nurseries. Over the years, I have found that one of my favorite things is taking the time to assist Mothers to breastfeed just after giving birth.

One of the reasons I chose to become a Doula and work towards my Lactation certification is that I really enjoy taking my time to get to know the families I am working with so I can customize the support they need through each stage of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum care. I also really enjoy the continuity of being able to follow up with my mothers in the first days, weeks and months following birth to ensure they have the tools and information they need to become successful at feeding and caring for their infant.
I enjoy staying active and eating a whole foods diet. On a beautiful day you’ll usually see me out biking, hiking, gardening, kayaking, paddle-boarding, swimming or playing sand volleyball. I look forward to meeting you soon. Please let me know if you’d like to arrange a hike or walk during one of our pre-natal or postnatal visits together.
